Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing the child development program for preschool ages children
  • Provide support to students and staff

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Graduation from high school required
  • Enrollment in college for the purpose of completing a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher level permit preferred

Physical Demands

  • Hearing and speaking to exchange information
  • Sight to monitor students and read a variety of materials
  • Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching to assist students
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate specialized apparatus (e.g. latches, levers and switches on certain devices like gates, cribs, and playground equipment) and standard office and classroom equipment
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting light-medium weighted objects
  • Frequently standing, walking and sitting

Licenses and Other Requirements

  • A pre-employment physical/drug screen clearance, DOJ/CACI fingerprint clearance and TB clearance will be required prior to employment
  • May be required to provide own transportation

  • Communicable diseases

Immunizations

Must comply with Senate Bill 792 immunization requirements for influenza, pertussis, and measles.
