Substitute Food Service Worker- District

Essential Functions

• Affords assistance in the preparation and serving of food items according to departmental policies and procedures.
• Serves food in proper pre-determined portion size.
• Provides services to cafeteria customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Operates dish machine.
• Cleans food production area, serving area and sitting area during and after meal service.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Physical Demands

• The employee must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Education/Experience

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior cafeteria or food industry experience preferred.
