Job Summary
Under the direction of an assigned Director, conduct hearing screening in assigned schools; drive a mobile van to various sites to conduct work; maintain records of results of hearing screenings; refer students with potential hearing problems to the nurse according to established guidelines.
Requirements / Qualifications
- SCOE Classified EdJoin Application
- Copy of valid certification authorizing service as an Audiometrist (must be submitted with application)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Additional documents required of selected applicant prior to employment: DMV clearance, Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance, Tuberculosis Skin Test clearance & Pre-Employment Physical/Drug Screen clearance.
Education & Experience
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one year of hearing screening or related experience is desirable.
License & Other Requirements
Must provide own transportation - may use own vehicle or other method of transportation selected by the employee.
Salary
Single Rate $26.69 Per Hour (Range 12, Step 1, Classified Salary Schedule)
Schedule
AS NEEDED - 6 hours per day, up to 5 days per week (8:00 AM - 2:30 PM); Part Time
