Volumetric Mixer Operator

About the role

The Volumetric Mixer Operator at Zenith Tech, a subsidiary of Walbec Group, plays a crucial role in the production of measured amounts of fresh concrete material. This position is essential for the company's upcoming 2024 season, focusing on road, highway, and bridge construction projects.

Responsibilities

- Operate a Mobile Concrete Mixer mounted on a truck. - Ensure the mixer produces measured amounts of fresh material as needed. - Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment in good condition. - Work under the direction of the Foreman to ensure efficient operation.

Requirements

- Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record. - Class A CDL required to operate the equipment. - High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred. - Punctuality and dependability are key. - Ability to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, weekends. - Tolerance for variable weather conditions and dirty/dusty environments. - Member of a Local Operators Union, or willing to join one upon employment.

Qualifications

- Experience in similar roles is preferred but not required. - Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.

- Proficiency in operating Mobile Concrete Mixers. - Good communication skills to work effectively with the team. - Ability to handle physical labor and work in challenging environments.
