Substation Design (PE) Project Manager

About the role

HDR Engineering is seeking a Substation Project Manager to join our Power Delivery team. This role involves managing all aspects of substation engineering projects, from scope development to project closeout, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Executing and managing substation engineering projects of various sizes and complexities
• Engaging in business development activities to support clients
• Leading the QA/QC process on EPC projects
• Representing HDR to support marketing and proposal development
• Performing client management, project management, and technical support activities
• Leading a team of engineers and technicians

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum 7 years related experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Master's degree preferred
• PMP certification preferred

Qualifications

• Experience with distribution, transmission line, communication, and system projection and planning projects
• Public involvement, environmental permitting, and real estate acquisition experience
• Leadership skills
• An attitude and commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture
