Substation Design (PE) Project Manager
About the role
This position is available to join HDR Engineering's growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals. HDR is dedicated to shaping how electricity is generated, transmitted, and delivered to meet the growing global energy demands.
Responsibilities
- Executing and managing all aspects of substation engineering projects of all sizes and complexity
- Engaging in business development activities to support existing and new clients in the region
- Growing a local team of engineers and technicians to support projects
- Understanding and applying project management tools and techniques
- Independently coordinating the work of engineers and the balance of the team throughout an entire project life cycle
- Leading the QA/QC process on EPC projects
- Representing HDR to support marketing and proposal development for new opportunities
Requirements
- Master's degree preferred
- PMP certification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 7 years related experience
- A minimum of 2 years project management experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- MS Office and MS Project experience is required

- Demonstrated leadership skills

Skills
- Experience with distribution, transmission line, communication, and system projection and planning projects
- Public involvement, environmental permitting, and real estate acquisition experience
