About the role
At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), our mission is rooted in empowering individuals and strengthening communities, one meaningful connection at a time. We are seeking a compassionate and caring Substance Use Specialist (Internally known as an IOP Facilitator) to facilitate impactful groups and provide support in our outpatient clinic in Elizabeth City, NC. This role involves providing life-changing care and hope to individuals in our community of Whiteville, where your skills and empathy truly make a difference.
Responsibilities
- Provide screening, assessment, treatment planning, IOP coverage, and therapeutic services to adults and children with substance use needs.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with clinical teams and referral sources.
- Support clients through aftercare planning and community referrals.
- Ensure accurate documentation and support crisis intervention.
- Promote a safe, therapeutic environment.
- Services are provided under clinical supervision.
Requirements
- Licensure/Certification: CADC required or Provisional Licensure preferred: LCAS-A
- 2 years of experience in Substance Use services
- Valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation for work-related travel
Skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic practices, group facilitation techniques, as well as problem solving and de-escalation in times of crisis
- Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy

Pay
- Competitive rate: Starting from $22.60 per hour and up for CADC
- $49,000 and up for LCAS-A
Schedule
- Consistent schedule of Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm onsite
