About the Role

This position is responsible for the development, staffing, marketing, organization, and management of services. The role includes providing clinical supervision to staff and interns/practicum students, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering counseling services.

Responsibilities

  • Provides counseling services using evidence-based methodologies, including individual, group, and family therapy for an assigned caseload.
  • Provides clinical supervision and consultation to substance use clinicians and interns/practicum students to ensure quality of services.
  • Trains or ensures training of new staff, interns, and practicum students in various aspects of services to comply with regulatory guidance.
  • Ensures substance use clinical services are recovery-focused and trauma-informed.
  • Collaborates across nursing, substance abuse outpatient treatment, and residential treatment programs to transfer clients among various levels of care and educate staff members.
  • Ensures specialty annual requirements are met by assigned staff (e.g., TB testing, Hepatitis testing, Narcan training).
  • Conducts intake for recipients entering services, including assessments, explaining services, and gathering necessary information.
  • Assists service recipients with linkages to internal and external resources as outlined in treatment plans.
  • Maintains appropriate contact with referral sources and provides information on service recipient progress (with appropriate releases).
  • Assists in making discharge plans and provides follow-up services as assigned.
  • Monitors urinalysis, breathalyzer, and other testing as assigned.
  • In the absence of a supervisor, makes decisions to ensure program continuity of services.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Human Services.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with clients receiving substance use services.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
  • Clinical license (LCPC/LCSW) required.

Skills

  • Effective communication via written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods.
  • Knowledge of program planning and evaluation.
  • Skill in customer service techniques.
  • Skill in identification of staff training needs.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing: 20% of the time
  • Sitting: 80% of the time
  • Squatting, driving, kneeling, lifting, and bending: occasional

Pay

Pay Range: $58,700.00 – $82,300.00
