Patient Coordinator

Role Summary

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing outstanding customer service and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
• Cook up and manage patient appointments, verify insurance, and handle referrals.
• Maintain and update patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Aid with front desk operations, answering phone calls, and managing inquiries.
• Collaborate closely with clinicians and administrative staff to enhance patient experience.
• Ensure a welcoming and organized clinic environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare or medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Proficiency in using office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
