Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
- Currently licensed as Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC), Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselor (LASAC), or Licensed Substance Abuse Technician (LSAT). LISAC preferred.
- Current CPR certification
- Two (2) years of addiction treatment counseling experience preferred
- One (1) year of correctional experience preferred

Position Summary
As a Substance Use Disorder Counselor, you'll provide assessment, counseling, case management, and discharge planning services for individuals with substance use disorders. Working collaboratively with healthcare, behavioral health, and correctional staff, you will:
- Conduct substance use screenings, assessments, and triage to identify treatment needs and appropriate levels of care
- Provide supportive counseling, psychoeducational groups, and relapse prevention services focused on recovery and stabilization
- Cookordination care with medical, behavioral health, and community providers to support continuity of care and successful reentry planning
- Assist patients with treatment referrals, community resources, discharge planning, and linkage to aftercare services
- Maintain accurate documentation, manage patient requests, and ensure compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
- Support quality improvement initiatives, reporting requirements, and adherence to facility and company policies
