Responsible for

Performing chemical dependency evaluations
Contributing to interdisciplinary treatment and discharge plans
Providing individual and group chemical dependency counseling services

Work Experience

Must be free of chemical use problems for at least two years immediately preceding hiring
Must not have received treatment for substance use within the period specified for the position in the staff qualification requirements, including medication-assisted treatment
Must not have substance use or mental health disorders that have negatively impacted job performance
Must not have substance use or mental health disorders that affect the credibility of treatment services with clients, referral sources, or other members of the community
Must not have symptoms of intoxication or withdrawal on the job

Education Qualifications

Documentation of completion of a two-year chemical dependency treatment training program
Graduate with degree in counseling with emphasis in alcohol and drug counseling preferred

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

Possesses Minnesota Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) credential or Alcohol and Drug Counselor-Trainee (ADC-T)
