About the role
New Season offers exciting benefits and is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join its collaborative treatment team. The role involves engaging with patients through individual, group, and family counseling, working with a multidisciplinary team, and addressing clinical and case management needs.
Responsibilities
- Engage with patients to complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
- Document patient progress through counseling and interactions with groups.
- Create and update patient psychosocial and individualized treatment plans within required timelines.
- Identify and address clinical and case management needs.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling as needed.
- Conduct at least 20 hours of direct one-on-one patient contact per week through counseling sessions.
- Educate patients about treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
- Perform urine drug screens and obtain patient photo identification.
- Achieve the best interests of the program and company while protecting proprietary data.
Qualifications
- Education/Licensure/Certification: Refer to state-specific requirements.
- Experience in substance abuse field preferred, but not required.
