Substance Abuse Counselor (Master's Degree Required)

About the role

New Season is a national leader in opioid addiction treatment and medication-assisted treatment (MAT), providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals on their recovery journey.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family substance abuse counseling
  • Complete patient assessments, intakes, treatment plans, and clinical documentation
  • Maintain at least 20 hours of direct patient counseling each week
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Educate patients on recovery, relapse prevention, and treatment goals
  • Support patients throughout every stage of their recovery journey

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a behavioral health, mental health, counseling, social work, psychology, or related field
  • QSAP I eligible
  • Must obtain Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC) certification within 30 months of hire to remain qualified to provide patient services
  • Substance use disorder or behavioral health experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
