Responsibilities

  • Engage with patients with individual, group, and/or family counseling.
  • Work with a collaborative treatment team consisting of the Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors, and Nurses to identify and meet the clinical needs of the patient and assist in their overall well-being.
  • Complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
  • Document patient progress through counseling and interaction through groups.
  • Create and update patient psychosocial and individualized treatment plans within the required timeframe.
  • Identify and address any clinical or case management needs.
  • Perform individual, group, and family counseling as required.
  • Provide at least 20 hours of direct one-on-one patient contact per week through individual and/or group counseling sessions.
  • Educate patients in all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues, and steps to recovery.
  • Obtain Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification.
  • Achieve all tasks in the best interests of the program and company; honor, support, and protect the proprietary data and rights of the company.

Qualifications

  • Education/Licensure/Certification: A Master's degree in mental health or intellectual/development disabilities, or a related field, and agreement to obtain a professional license or DMH credential as a Mental Health Therapist, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Therapist, or Addictions Therapist (PCAT, CAT, PMHT, MHT) within 90 days of employment.
