About the role
New Season offers exciting benefits and is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join their team. Founded over 30 years ago, they provide outpatient treatment centers specializing in Opioid Use Disorder.
Responsibilities
- Engage with patients through individual, group, and family counseling
- Work collaboratively with a treatment team including Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors, and Nurses
- Identify and address clinical/case management needs
- Complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork
- Document patient progress through counseling and interactions
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans
- Perform at least 20 hours of direct patient contact per week
- Educate patients about treatment, health issues, and recovery steps
- Conduct Urine Drug Screens and obtain patient photo identification
- Achieve the best interests of the program and company while protecting proprietary data
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a Human Services or related field
- Experience in substance abuse field preferred, but not required
