About the role

New Season offers exciting benefits and is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join their team. Founded over 30 years ago, they provide outpatient treatment centers specializing in Opioid Use Disorder.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with patients through individual, group, and family counseling
  • Work collaboratively with a treatment team including Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors, and Nurses
  • Identify and address clinical/case management needs
  • Complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork
  • Document patient progress through counseling and interactions
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Perform at least 20 hours of direct patient contact per week
  • Educate patients about treatment, health issues, and recovery steps
  • Conduct Urine Drug Screens and obtain patient photo identification
  • Achieve the best interests of the program and company while protecting proprietary data

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a Human Services or related field
  • Experience in substance abuse field preferred, but not required
