New Season Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor (CADC or LCAS-A) to join our outpatient addiction treatment team in Morganton, NC. Help individuals overcome opioid addiction while working alongside an experienced team of physicians, nurses, counselors, and clinical leadership in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete patient intakes, admissions, transfers, and discharge documentation
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling
  • Maintain a minimum of 20 hours of direct patient counseling each week
  • Educate patients on addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and wellness
  • Identify clinical and case management needs while coordinating patient care
  • Collect urine drug screens and patient identification documentation
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation
  • Partner with physicians, nurses, counselors, and leadership to provide exceptional patient care

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related behavioral health field
  • Active North Carolina LCAS-A credential required (no CADC)
  • Experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, mental health, or counseling preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
