About the role

New Season offers exciting benefits and is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join their team. With over 30 years of experience, they provide outpatient treatment centers specializing in Opioid Use Disorder.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with patients through individual, group, and family counseling
  • Work collaboratively with a treatment team including Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors, and Nurses
  • Identify and meet clinical needs of patients and assist in their overall well-being
  • Complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork
  • Document patient progress through counseling and interactions with groups
  • Create and implement individual and group treatment plans
  • Provide educational guidance on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps
  • Conduct Urine Drug Screens and verify patient identification
  • Act in the best interests of the program and company, protecting proprietary data and rights

Qualifications

  • Education/Licensure/Certification: Refer to state-specific requirements
  • Experience in substance abuse field preferred, but not required
