Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' needs and develop initial patient care plans
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support patients in their recovery journey
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community resources to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions
- Facilitate support groups and educational workshops for patients and their families
- Encourage patients to build coping strategies and life skills necessary for lasting recovery
Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping others
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Experience in counseling, preferably in addiction treatment settings
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems is a plus!
