Primary Responsibilities
- Support the planning, solicitation, evaluation, award, administration of subcontracts
- Aid in procurement activities for architectural, engineering, construction, facilities maintenance, and other professional services
- Conduct market research and support sourcing strategies
- Prepare solicitation packages including Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Invitations for Bid (IFBs), and Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Analyze proposals and quotations, perform price analysis, and document procurement decisions
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and subcontract terms and conditions
- Prepare correspondence and documentation required to obtain internal approvals and maintain acquisition files in compliance with MIT Lincoln Laboratory's approved purchasing system
- Cook up with project managers and internal customers to ensure procurement activities align with project schedules and objectives
- Support subcontract change orders
- Maintain effective working relationships with suppliers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in contracts, subcontracts, procurement, supply chain, or related acquisition functions
- FAR and DFARS knowledge
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form within a cross-functional professional environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government (DoD) security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting facilities, construction, architectural and engineering (A&E), capital projects, or related procurement activities
- Familiarity with construction delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build (DBB), Design-Build (DB), or Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR)
- SAP procurement experience and familiarity with electronic procurement and purchase order systems
- Government contracting experience
- Professional certifications such as NCMA, DAU, CPSM, CPPB, NIGP, APICS, or similar
- Experience supporting the lifecycle of facility or construction projects from planning through closeout
Hiring Range
$80,100 - $106,100
