About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Subcontract Administrator to lead the procurement and management of complex, mission-critical hardware and services supporting advanced maritime, energy, and aerospace programs. This is a highly visible role responsible for the full subcontract lifecycle, from sourcing strategy and supplier negotiations through contract award, compliance, and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end subcontract administration for complex hardware, systems, and service procurements
- Develop and issue RFQs, RFPs, and solicitation packages based on technical and program requirements
- Evaluate supplier proposals and conduct cost and price analyses to support sourcing decisions
- Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, schedules, terms, and conditions
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, company policies, and customer requirements
- Advises program leadership on contractual obligations, risks, and subcontract strategy
- Manage supplier performance, issue resolution, and ongoing business relationships
- Serve as the primary subcontract business representative for internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Maintain procurement documentation and records within SAP and related systems
- Partner closely with Engineering, Program Management, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Contract Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 15+ years of experience in subcontract administration, contracts, procurement, or supply chain management
- Extensive experience managing complex subcontracts in aerospace, defense, government contracting, energy, or other highly regulated industries
- Strong knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations and their application to subcontracting activities
- Experience negotiating high-value subcontracts and supplier agreements
- Background supporting hardware procurements, including components, assemblies, and technical deliverables
- Proven experience performing detailed cost and price analysis
- Strong understanding of procurement compliance, risk management, and supplier management
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Department of Energy (DoE) programs
- CPSM, CPCM, NCMA, or similar professional certification
- Experience supporting proposal development and competitive capture efforts
- Background managing strategic supplier relationships across multiple programs
- Ability to mentor junior subcontract administrators and provide team leadership
- Experience working with advanced technology, maritime, aerospace, defense, or energy programs
