The Louisiana Supreme Court Records Department seeks two (2) to three (3) Student Workers to assist with the implementation of a critical records management project. Successful candidates must be full-time students at an Accredited College or University (i.e., 12 credit hours for undergrads). Duties for this detail-oriented, hands-on position include moving, organizing, and indexing Louisiana Supreme Court case files. Student Workers will be trained on the project’s procedure, and once proficient, will be expected to perform tasks independently and correctly. Candidates must possess the ability to carefully handle court documents and maintain keen attention to details. A demonstration of the project will be provided at a candidate’s interview. The position offers a flexible schedule by allowing student workers to dictate their weekly schedules. A minimum of five (5) hours per week is expected. The Court’s hours of operation are weekdays 8:30AM - 4:30PM. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 20 pounds. This is an ideal position for students pursuing degrees related to law, history, government, archival preservation, and library science. $10 per hour for undergraduates and $13 per hour for graduates, plus either paid parking in the French Quarter, or a bus pass. Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check.
