Student Worker Enrollment Financial Career Services
About the role
The primary goal of this position is to aid and support the Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid Assistant will provide customer service to students over the phone, in person, through email, and online using our virtual communication platform. This student would be expected to learn general financial aid information and how to assist in completing a FAFSA.
Responsibilities
- Answering incoming calls, emails, and virtual communication platform communications
- Assisting students with completing FAFSA and other financial aid forms
- Processing correspondence and requests for additional informational information
- Digitizing student records
- Preparing files
- Scanning
- Performing quality control checks
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills to help with filing and scanning
- Able to work independently to help cover the front desk associate when needed

Established in 1963, Lorain County Community College is the first community college in Ohio with a permanent campus.
