About the role
Amherst Middle School seeks a full-time paraprofessional to support students in various capacities.
Responsibilities
- Provide instructional support to students
- Manage student behaviors
- Collect and analyze accurate data
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategies
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Be willing to learn and adapt to new approaches
Requirements
- A belief in the potential of all students to learn and contribute to their community
- Ability to work with students individually and in groups
- Willingness to collaborate, listen to feedback, and adjust strategies based on guidance
- A high school diploma required; college degree and/or paraprofessional certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Organized, reliable, and independent
- A willingness to work collaboratively with students, parents, colleagues, and the community
