About the role

Amherst Middle School seeks a full-time paraprofessional to support students in various capacities.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students
• Manage student behaviors
• Collect and analyze accurate data
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategies
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Be willing to learn and adapt to new approaches

Requirements

• A belief in the potential of all students to learn and contribute to their community
• Ability to work with students individually and in groups
• Willingness to collaborate, listen to feedback, and adjust strategies based on guidance
• A high school diploma required; college degree and/or paraprofessional certification preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Organized, reliable, and independent
• A willingness to work collaboratively with students, parents, colleagues, and the community
