Student Success & Wellness Navigator (Health Program Manager)
Full-time, exempt professional staff position in the Student Health Services department. This is a time-limited role funded by non-state sources; continuation is contingent on continued availability of those funds.

The Bronco Health and Wellness program, part of the Division of Student Affairs, focuses on the health and well-being of the campus community. It offers whole-person-centered care, illness prevention, health promotion, educational opportunities, and public-health leadership. The program fosters a culture that empowers students, faculty, and staff to adopt healthier behaviors through education, programming, and support, emphasizing nine dimensions of wellness to help students make informed decisions that enhance academic success and balanced lifestyles.
About the Role
The Student Success & Wellness Navigator (Health Program Manager) works alongside the Director to monitor national health trends and ensure relevant outreach, educational programming, and resources meet student and campus-community needs. This role strengthens the link between wellness and academic achievement, monitors student outcomes, and ensures programs adapt to evolving student needs. It serves as a critical campus asset addressing health disparities and inequities through the nine dimensions of wellness.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students and administrative support for the Be Well Title III initiative.
- Oversee all budgeting activities for Bronco Health and Wellness.
- Conduct health-education training workshops.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate health-education programming aligned with university, division, and campus-partner missions.
- Serve as staff lead for student programs: Wellness Ambassadors and Certified Peer Educators.
- Instruct courses related to Bronco Wellness.
- Serve as a campus Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
- Assume supervisory responsibilities for future staff as the Health and Wellness Center expands.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Health Education or Public Health.
- Two to three years of health-related experience.
- Experience with research and/or grant writing.
- Experience supervising staff or students.
- Experience creating or managing budgets.
- Experience in team building and facilitating workshops.
Skills
- Student Wellness & Health Promotion: Knowledge of wellness frameworks and prevention strategies supporting student well-being and academic success.
- Program Coordination & Evaluation: Skill in coordinating wellness programs and tracking participation and outcomes.
- Student Needs Assessment & Resources Navigation: Ability to assess student needs and connect them to campus and community resources.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Skill in working with campus partners to support student retention and holistic wellness.
- Confidentiality & Compliance: Ability to manage student information in accordance with FERPA and applicable standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and/or Certified in Public Health.
- Certified in Nutrition.
