The University of California, Irvine School of Education is seeking a professional to assist with administering the CalTeach STEM undergraduate teacher preparation program. This role involves providing varied student and administrative services to students, faculty, and School of Education management.

About the role

As a member of the CalTeach team, you will apply professional student services concepts to support the program. You will also maintain program data and assist with programmatic functions.

Responsibilities

  • Apply professional student services concepts to administer the CalTeach STEM undergraduate teacher preparation program.
  • Provide varied student and administrative services to students, faculty, and School of Education management.
  • Maintain CalTeach program data and assist with programmatic functions.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
  • Knowledge of University-specific computer application programs and pertinent databases.
  • Ability to multi-task; verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Multicultural competencies; ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Skills in service orientation, organization, active listening, and critical thinking.
  • Understanding of University processes and procedures.
  • Understanding of University rules and regulations.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years relevant experience in student affairs.
