Student Services Assistant II
Position Summary
The Community & Engagement Student Supervisor (Student Services Assistant II) for the MRULE-ICA Program is responsible for leading, educating, and supervising a team of diverse undergraduate student leaders called Intercultural Aides (ICAs) in the Multi-Racial Unity Living Experience-Intercultural Aide (MRULE-ICA) program within Residence Education & Housing Services in the pedagogy of building inclusive communities within the residence halls to promote institutional learning goals.
Educational Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one or two years of post-bachelor degree work, such as a Masters in a human services related field (eg. Student Personnel, Social Work, Sociology or other related academic areas); one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in administration, program development and personnel development and training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
- One to three years of supervisory experience preferred;
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse peoples;
- Strong understanding of leadership as service to empower others;
- One to three years’ experience working with traditionally-aged college students; especially first-generation/low-income students;
- Strong interest in learning, education, and self-reflection;
- Strong sense of integrity, passion for justice, and demonstrated creative initiative.
