Student Services Coordinator II
About the role
Develop, coordinate, and implement student support programs to aid in the retention of underrepresented ethnic minority students, contributing to the graduation of these students and the education environment of the University.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, develop, implement, and evaluate student support programs and services
- Advise and counsel students
- Assist with serving students through walk-in services on a rotational basis
- Participate in and perform other job-related functions: office meetings, presentations, special events, website newsletter, etc.
- Provide direct and indirect supervision and management to a small staff, may include student paraprofessionals and office support staff
- Serve in a liaison capacity to represent the office as specified by the director
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
- Preferred Qualifications: 4-5 years of progressive responsibility in these areas: project planning, program development, coordination, program management, program implementation and evaluation. Advanced computer software skills and Microsoft Office Suite skills. Ability to communicate and work in a fast paced environment; exceptional skills in verbal and written communication

Pay
Salary Range: $22.10-$31.50 hourly
Schedule
Shift 40 hours/week, some evening and weekend responsibilities may be required
