About the role

The Department of Enrollment Management and Student Success at UNM-Valencia is seeking a highly motivated person to join our recruitment and outreach team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to prospective students, including high school students, adult learners, and transfer students.
• Visit schools, community organizations, and businesses.
• Deliver presentations.
• Participate in college fairs, information sessions, and community events.
• Arrange and conduct campus tours for students, families, and groups.
• Maintain relationships with school counselors, community partners, and campus departments to coordinate recruitment activities and respond to prospective student questions.
• Follow up with prospective students by phone, email, text, and other approved methods.
• Assist with admissions applications.
• Connect students with financial aid, placement, registration, academic advising, and other enrollment services.
• Provide general information about academic programs and career pathways, referring students to academic advisors for formal advising.
• Maintain prospective‑student records.
• Track recruitment activities.
• Assist with reports.
• Support recruitment campaigns, materials, and special projects.

• Some evening and weekend work.
• Regular travel throughout the service region, including Valencia, northern Socorro, and Torrance counties.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Term position ending February 28, 2027, with possibility for extension.
