Student Nurse Intern
About the role
The Student Nurse Intern will provide vital, supervised patient care and support across diverse medical/surgical populations, leveraging their nursing education within a clinical setting.
To be successful in this role, the intern will demonstrate compassion, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safe, compliant care while actively participating in quality improvement and accurately implementing delegated patient tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care as delegated by RN staff
- Makes rounds to monitor and record vital signs
- Assists in providing personal hygiene and physical care needs
- Accurately measures, records, and reports intake and output
- Obtains and records daily weight
- Performs blood glucose testing using blood glucose meter
Requirements
- High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or
- High School GED General Studies, upon hire and
- Must be enrolled and attending nursing school(must present proof) and Has completed at least one clinical rotation in nursing school, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR through the American Heart Association

Pay
The posted compensation range of $17.50 - $17.50 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
