Student Nurse Intern
Position Summary
The Team Maryville × St. Luke’s Healthcare Immersion Program is a 16-week paid experience designed to bring Maryville students into a real-world healthcare environment. Through thoughtfully structured PRN roles, students gain exposure to clinical, administrative, and technical areas, stepping into the hospital setting to learn, serve, and grow.

Program Focus
- Exploring multiple career pathways including clinical areas such as pulmonary medicine, cardiac progressive care, emergency services, and nursing practice.
- Administrative roles in human resources, finance/accounting, and operations.
- Technical roles in information technology, security, systems operations, and help desk support.
Student Nurse Intern Role
This role gives students hands-on experience in delivering safe, compassionate, and professional care while contributing to the hospital’s mission and values. Students work under RN supervision to provide patient care, participate in care planning, assist with clinical tasks, and support the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Education: Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program junior year at Maryville University and completed first clinical rotation. High school diploma required.
- Experience: Basic computer skills required.
- Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
