Student Nurse Extern Program (Dec 2027 Graduates & After)

Role: Student Nurse Extern (SNE) provides basic patient care under the supervision of registered nurses to support clinical skill development and patient experience enhancement. Responsibilities: Deliver age-appropriate, culturally competent care such as hygiene, vital signs, mobility, and comfort measures; assist with technical procedures like phlebotomy and Foley catheter removal as trained; ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and dignity; support team initiatives, transport supplies, and communicate effectively with patients and staff. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent, with at least one clinical rotation in an acute care setting; current enrollment in a nursing program with one completed clinical; BLS certification; strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills; ability to work in stressful situations; basic computer and medical terminology knowledge.
