Student Intern/Volunteer

The District Attorney's Office seeks student interns and volunteers to support its mission of bringing justice and safety to the community. Three opportunities are available:

Victim/Witness Division

• Duration: One year, 12 hours per week
• Responsibilities: Provide services to victims and witnesses, inform them of their rights, and assist with various tasks.
• Application Deadline: Year-round

Law Students

• Opportunities: Volunteer law clerk position
• Requirements: Must be in at least one year of law school, pass a background check, and be certified by the State Bar.
• Application Deadlines:
  • Summer: February 1st
  • Fall Semester: May 1st
  • Spring Semester: September 1st

Non-Law Student Interns/Volunteers

• Primary Duty: Support attorneys and the administrative team with various tasks or special projects.
• Benefits: Gain first-hand exposure to the DA's Office, courts, and the legal system, and potentially earn school credit.
• Application Deadlines:
  • Summer (June – Aug): April 16th
  • Fall (Sept – Dec): August 11th
  • Winter (Jan-May): November 22nd
