The District Attorney's Office seeks student interns and volunteers to support its mission of bringing justice and safety to the community. Three opportunities are available:
Victim/Witness Division
- Duration: One year, 12 hours per week
- Responsibilities: Provide services to victims and witnesses, inform them of their rights, and assist with various tasks.
- Application Deadline: Year-round
Law Students
- Opportunities: Volunteer law clerk position
- Requirements: Must be in at least one year of law school, pass a background check, and be certified by the State Bar.
- Application Deadlines:
- Summer: February 1st
- Fall Semester: May 1st
- Spring Semester: September 1st
Non-Law Student Interns/Volunteers
- Primary Duty: Support attorneys and the administrative team with various tasks or special projects.
- Benefits: Gain first-hand exposure to the DA's Office, courts, and the legal system, and potentially earn school credit.
- Application Deadlines:
- Summer (June – Aug): April 16th
- Fall (Sept – Dec): August 11th
- Winter (Jan-May): November 22nd
