Student Intern
Responsibilities
- Study existing conditions of buildings
- Identify failures of building components and systems
- Research and propose remedial design solutions
- Prepare design documents, including drawings and specifications
- Manage the bidding process
- Prepare and administer contract documents
- Inspect the construction of remedies
- Research code requirements and manufacturer recommendations
Desired Skills and Experience
- Pursuing a Master of Science (Bachelor's degree candidates will be considered) in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, architectural engineering, or related disciplines; an emphasis in structural engineering is preferred
- Knowledge of roofing, waterproofing, or other building envelope systems is desirable
- Ability to interpret technical instructions
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Powerpoint), MS Project, and other Windows applications
