STUDENT/INTERN - SLEEP LAB

About the Role
The Polysomnographic Technologist Student works in the Sleep Lab and DME department, assisting with various tasks as needed under the supervision of the Sleep Lab/DME supervisor(s), manager(s), or Registered Technologist. Under the supervision of a registered sleep technician or Respiratory Therapist, you will perform basic sleep modalities and therapy setups.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the Sleep Lab and DME department under supervision.
- Perform basic sleep modalities and therapy setups under the guidance of a registered sleep technician or Respiratory Therapist.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a STAR-designated program accredited by the BRPT (Board of Polysomnographic Technologist) or currently enrolled as a second-year Polysomnographic Technologist student in an accredited program.
- Completion of a STAR-designated program accredited by the BRPT is preferred.
- Completion of the first year in an accredited Polysomnographic Technologist program and currently enrolled in the second year.
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider card showing completion of cognitive and skills evaluation in accordance with the AHA BLS (CPR & AED) program.
