About the role

GM Performance Power Units is launching new student opportunities for driven, passionate individuals ready to enter the world of motorsport. Students will gain hands-on experience and contribute meaningfully to the development of the Cadillac Formula 1 power unit.

Upcoming Opportunities

  • Co-Ops: Semester-long assignments at GM Performance Power Units, alternating with semesters of full-time coursework. Two to three rotations based on university graduation requirements and company needs.

  • One-Year Placements: Full-time, 12-month assignments with a designated team at GM Performance Power Units.

Important Information

  • Applicants must have valid work authorization and current residency in the United States.

  • Co-ops and one-year placements are full-time roles (40 hours per week) lasting from a single semester up to one year and may delay graduation for students currently enrolled in school.

  • Preferred placement type: co-op, one-year placement, or either.

  • Details of whether your college offers these programs as part of their curriculum, including any relevant details.

  • Summary of motorsport and/or Formula 1–related experience.

  • Explanation of your interest in the role(s).

  • Preferred technical or specialty areas (e.g., design, simulation, additive manufacturing, testing, etc.).

  • Experience, projects, academic classes in this area.

  • Preferred semester start date.
