Position Summary Information

The purpose of this position is to serve as chief photographer and photo editor for Del Mar’s student newspaper, the Foghorn News.
Minimum Qualifications: Current Del Mar College student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours while employed.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with a college publication or other news publication preferred. Graphic artist experience preferred. Knowledge of AP style preferred. Ability to use InDesign and Photoshop programs preferred. Skilled in video editing preferred.

Job Duties

• Responsible for selecting, editing, positioning and publishing photos for Foghorn News.
• Chief photographer.
• Train other staffers in photography and photo editing.
• Write stories, design pages and produce videos for the print and online editions.
