Student Assistance Program Liaison
About the role
The Student Assistance Program (SAP) Liaison provides prevention, intervention, consultation, and referral services to public school students participating in the Student Assistance Program. Working closely with students, families, school teams, and community providers, the SAP Liaison conducts behavioral health screenings, facilitates psychoeducational and prevention-focused groups, provides consultation on mental health and substance use concerns, and connects students and families to appropriate community resources.
Responsibilities
- Conduct behavioral health screenings and provide consultation on mental health and substance use concerns
- Facilitate psychoeducational and prevention-focused groups
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, families, and community partners to promote early intervention and positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with program requirements
- Build strong collaborative relationships with school districts, community partners, and families
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, Education, or a related field
- At least one year of experience in behavioral health, human services, education, or a related setting
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and ability to travel between school locations
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Preferred: Student Assistance Program (SAP) experience
- Experience providing school-based services
- Knowledge of behavioral health, substance use prevention, and community resources
- Experience facilitating groups and working with youth and families
Benefits
Competitive compensation: $47,000 - $52,000 per year
