Structured Literacy Teacher, GT School - $100,000/year USD

What You Will Be Doing

• Leading focused phonics workshops for gifted K–2 learners, designing every lesson from real student performance data rather than scripted materials
• Conducting running records, evaluating reading levels, and organizing your own flexible instructional groupings
• Providing 1:1 and small-group motivational coaching through school currency systems, leaderboards, and authentic relationships to support ambitious goals in adaptive software
• Monitoring live student performance in adaptive learning platforms and adjusting instruction as data patterns shift

Basic Requirements

• Master's degree in reading instruction OR formal reading certification (Wilson Reading System, Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, CERI, or equivalent)
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline
• Minimum 2 years delivering small-group early literacy instruction to K–2 learners
• Demonstrated ability to assess reading proficiency, form instructional groups, and build differentiated lessons independent of pre-packaged curricula
• Direct experience teaching gifted or high-achieving students (gifted & talented programs, academic summer enrichment, or specialized institutions)
• Comfortable using AI and adaptive learning technologies and interpreting student data outputs
• Available to work on-site at the GT campus in Georgetown (Austin), TX. Relocation assistance provided.
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Advanced Orton-Gillingham or multisensory structured literacy training beyond entry-level certification
• Hands-on experience with adaptive reading tools (such as Lexia, Raz-Kids, or comparable K–2 platforms)
• Proven success coaching learners performing well above grade-level expectations
• Prior use of student data dashboards to inform real-time instructional choices
