Structured Cabling Systems Telecom Project Lead

As a Telecommunications Project Lead, you’ll provide technical design leadership for data center buildings, including structured cabling systems, wireless, audio-visual, and other low-voltage systems. You may work on several concurrent projects and will ensure they are completed on time while managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll also mentor junior team members and learn from senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM designers in the preparation of engineering drawings and DIV 27 specification creation or modification.
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
• Provide technical design leadership for structured cabling systems, wireless, audio-visual, and other low-voltage systems in data center buildings.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects to ensure on-time completion.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, project managers, and clients.
• Respond to RFPs and create project budgets and schedules.
• Identify and mitigate company risk.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 4 years of experience actively designing or leading designs for Telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70 and its application to telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Familiarity with Navisworks.
• Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers, and clients.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Credential as an RCDD or ability to attain it within one year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on other low-voltage systems, including security, audio/visual, and wireless.
• Electrical engineering degree or related discipline.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $91,000.00 to $130,000.00. Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Jacobs offers a hybrid working policy, allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
