About the role

The Structural Steel Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed estimates for structural steel projects, collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for structural steel projects
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure project specifications are met
• Review and update project budgets based on changes in scope or materials
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to clarify requirements and expectations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural steel estimating
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of structural steel design codes and standards
• Experience with estimating software such as ProEst or AccuCost
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD or similar drafting software
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually
