STRUCTURAL MGR TEST INSPECTION 2
About the role
Supervises employees who test and/or inspect products to determine compliance with specifications.
Requirements
- Apprentice graduate, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 6 years of applicable technical experience.
- 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of 2 years as a Supervisor Test Inspection 1 or equivalent position plus a minimum of 8 years related non-exempt experience can be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree and experience.
Nice to Have
- Prior inspection experience and/or knowledge of structural RCOH, Sub-Fleet Support, VCS PSA, CVN Inactivation experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Strong leadership skills, be able to interpret and understand drawings/methods/procedures, analyze Inspection Reports/Engineering Reports, train Supervisors and build metrics to measure performance.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints or engineering drawings highly preferred.
- Ability to climb tall ladders, crawl tanks/bilges in confined spaces, and work in adverse environment conditions.
- Ability to access tight or confined spaces by crawling, bending, stooping, and squatting.
- Ability to access elevated and recessed areas with the use of ladders.
