Structural Fitter
About the role
Fitters at Valmont play a crucial role in bringing our products to life. They work on the structural foundation of steel components that support infrastructure globally, from utility poles and communication towers to lighting and transportation structures.
Responsibilities
- Lay out, align, and fit steel parts according to blueprints and shop drawings
- Tack weld components prior to final weld
- Measure and verify dimensions for accuracy
- Operate overhead cranes and hand/power tools safely
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a high-performing team
Requirements
We're looking for detail-oriented, dependable tradespeople with 1+ year of layout or fitting experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Familiarity with tack welding and fabrication processes, overhead cranes, grinders, and cutting tools is required. A high school diploma or GED is also required.
Qualifications
A strong safety mindset and pride in quality workmanship are essential qualities for this role.

Pay
$29.35/hr. with night shift differential of $2/hr. Pay increase at 90-day and 6-month anniversary.
Schedule
- 1st - Monday to Thursday from 5:00am - 3:30pm
- 2nd - Monday to Thursday from 5:00pm - 3:30am
- 4th - Friday to Sunday from 5:00am - 5:00pm
