About the role
We are seeking an experienced and talented Bridges and Structural Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of structural engineering professionals. This role offers an opportunity to grow a group and deliver exciting and diverse transportation projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of structural engineering professionals.
- Mentoring and training for future leaders, including development of succession plans for key positions.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute business development, contributing towards winning new work in the region including cross-selling and individually pursuing and leading pursuits.
- Maintain and enhance our reputation with clients, approval agencies, and industry professionals as an outstanding service provider.
- Manage the approved scope, budget, and schedule on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards, and lead multi-disciplinary teams on proposals, planning studies, feasibility through final designs, and construction services.
- Identify appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives, manage contract terms, track and manage costs, and implement measures necessary to stay on schedule and within budget.
- Lead by example by proactively following internal policies and practices, including risk management, project management, and quality management.
- Promote collaboration and teamwork across business lines and geographies.
Requirements
- Strong preference for candidates located in Ohio and/or with demonstrated community relationships and partnerships in Ohio.

- Responsible for managing and delivering successful projects in our transportation business line.
- Ability to interact internally throughout the organization with staff at all levels as well as externally with clients, members of business and professional organizations, subcontractors, and other firms.

Schedule
This role requires being in the office, on average, three days a week.
