Structural Engineering Manager
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and talented Bridges and Structural Engineering Manager to lead and grow our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting and diverse transportation projects, collaborating with clients, and building strong relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of structural engineering professionals.
- Mentor and train future leaders, including developing succession plans for key positions.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute business development strategies, including cross-selling and pursuing new work in the region.
- Maintain and enhance our reputation as an outstanding service provider with clients, approval agencies, and industry professionals.
- Manage the approved scope, budget, and schedule on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards, and lead multi-disciplinary teams on proposals, planning studies, feasibility through final designs, and construction services.
- Identify appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives, manage contract terms, track and manage costs, and implement measures to stay on schedule and within budget.
- Lead by example by proactively following internal policies and practices, including risk management, project management, and quality management.
- Promote collaboration and teamwork across business lines and geographies.
Requirements
Strong preference for candidates located in Ohio or with demonstrated community relationships and partnerships in Ohio. Minimum of 10 years of related experience is required.
Qualifications
- Responsible for managing and delivering successful projects in our transportation business line.
- Interacts internally throughout the organization with staff at all levels and externally with clients, members of business and professional organizations, subcontractors, and other firms.
- Motivated, dynamic team player who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment across a broad range of project sectors.
Skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field required.
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Ohio or the ability to become licensed within 90 days of employment.

Pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
