Structural (Bridge) Senior Project Manager

About the Role

Dewberry is seeking a Structural (Bridge) Senior Project Manager to work in Western PA locations. The successful candidate will manage structural-led design projects including simple and complex bridges, as well as a variety of transportation-related structures such as retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and other miscellaneous structures. Bridge design work encompasses new and replacement bridges, bridge widening, and bridge rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design of simple and complex bridges.
• Oversee all phases of project development including planning, scheduling, inspection, analysis, design, development of contract plans, cost estimates, and technical specifications and reports.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and drafters, as well as coordinate with clients to complete assignments.
• Actively participate in business development, including client management and responding to requests for proposals.
• Assist with the development of proposals.
• Mentor less experienced staff.

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering (MS in Structural Engineering preferred).
• PA Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience working on bridge transportation projects, with familiarity in PennDOT design standards and current state of practice such as accelerated bridge construction and prefabricated bridge elements.
• Prior project management experience along with a strong understanding of associated disciplines and construction operations.
• Sound oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills; and a desire to work in a team environment.
• Driving is a requirement of the position; a clean driving record is required.
