About the role
As a Senior Bridge Project Manager at Mott MacDonald, you will primarily focus on bridge or civil structure projects, with exposure to various structural projects. You will work across projects for railways, highways, related transportation projects, and bridges.
Responsibilities
- Manage bridge design and plan development
- Conduct field investigations, inspections, and provide repair recommendations
- Perform type studies, structural designs, preliminary through detailed work, including quantity calculations and construction cost estimating
- Assess load ratings and conduct construction monitoring
- Provide expert opinions related to bridges, civil structures, and other structures
- Engage in business development by managing transportation and infrastructure projects and taking a forward-facing role with clients
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or equivalent, with a master’s in structural engineering preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio, West Virginia, or Illinois, or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months
- At least 10+ years of professional experience in bridge design or structural design in transportation or highways projects
- Experience working on structural bridge design projects in Ohio, West Virginia, or Illinois
- Exposure to other structural projects is a plus
- Familiarity with AutoDesk and Bentley products, and bridge design software such as LARSA, SAP 2000, STAAD Pro, OpenBridge, CsiBridge, MIDAS, AASHTOWARE Bridge Rating, and MDX
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio, West Virginia, or Illinois, or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months

Schedule
Mott MacDonald offers a flexible schedule with most of your time spent collaborating face-to-face in the office, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
