STREETS MAINTENANCE WORKER

About the role

The role involves performing various maintenance tasks on city streets, including cleaning, repairing, and resurfacing roadways. This position requires strong physical fitness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine street maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mowing, and trimming vegetation.
• Inspect and repair potholes, cracks, and other damage to road surfaces.
• Use specialized equipment to maintain and improve the condition of city streets.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during all work activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Physical fitness to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in street maintenance or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Skills

• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
