About the role

Aurelian is building AI tools to improve public safety infrastructure. We are seeking a strategic decision-maker to join our founding team.

Responsibilities

• Turn decisions into outcomes and don't let things stall
• Take on the company's hardest, highest-stakes decisions end-to-end
• Frame the question, gather the evidence, make the call, and stand behind the tradeoffs
• Act as the CEO's thought partner / trusted advisor on the calls that matter most
• Turn messy, ambiguous problems into clear direction the team can move on
• Get close to customers and the market
• Communicate with precision to influence smart, opinionated people
• Be energized by ambiguity and want to be close to the most important decisions in the company

Requirements

• Founders / ex-founders
• Top-tier strategy consulting or a "decisions all day" seat
• Traading / quant / other high-intensity judgment fields
• Exceptional product people - PMs known for judgment and taste, not just shipping

Qualifications

• Think from first principles and are unusually good at reasoning under uncertainty
• Have extremely high ownership and a strong bias toward action

Pay

• Range: $150K - $250K
