About the role
The Principal Benefits & Protection business is seeking a Content Marketing Strategist to drive business growth through strategic content creation, campaign activation, and development of customizable content solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute content strategies that support business priorities, product initiatives, and audience engagement goals.
- Create innovative and compelling content across multiple channels, including: brochures, presentations, websites, email, social media, mobile and digital marketing platforms.
- Translate complex business, financial, and technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging marketing content.
- Serve as a key resource for the team's content delivery technology, particularly Seismic.
- Build, maintain, and optimize customizable Seismic LiveDocs content that improves user experience and creates efficiencies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable, user-friendly content solutions that meet business needs.
- Utilize audience insights, market research, competitive intelligence, and performance data to inform content recommendations and strategy.
- Analyze content performance and campaign results to identify opportunities, measure effectiveness, and recommend future actions.
- Manage project workflows using tools such as Wrike and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of experience in content marketing, marketing communications, or content strategy.
- Proven ability to develop strategic content and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving, project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using data and analytics to measure content performance and drive recommendations.
- Proficiency with PowerPoint and other content creation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with content delivery platforms such as Seismic LiveDocs.
- Interest in and enthusiasm for marketing technology, content management systems, and digital enablement tools.
- Experience working with marketing content platforms and processes.
- Understanding of Principal products, distribution channels, and customer segments.
- Experience working in regulated environments where compliance and governance processes are critical.
