Content Marketing Strategist
About the role
As a Content Marketing Strategist, you direct content marketing strategy and execution for assigned client accounts, ensuring every content program is strategically grounded and delivers measurable results. You partner closely with account teams, strategists, designers, and media planners to build content programs that translate client business objectives into audience growth, lead generation, and proven value. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and craft. A writer and editor at heart who thinks like a marketer, owns performance outcomes, and brings clear editorial direction to every client engagement. You build content programs that are genuinely useful to the audiences they're meant to reach. As AI continues to transform content marketing and digital strategy, you embrace tools that accelerate research, drafting, optimization, and reporting while recognizing that editorial judgment, brand voice, and strategic storytelling remain uniquely human.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own client content marketing strategy, defining editorial direction, content pillars, distribution strategy, and performance targets for assigned client accounts.
- Oversee content execution across formats, managing production of website content, blog posts, white papers, social content, email campaigns, video scripts, and thought leadership, ensuring quality, brand consistency, and strategic alignment.
- Track performance and optimize programs by monitoring KPIs, identifying what is working, and adjusting strategy based on data; provide clients with reporting demonstrating the value of their content investment.
- Integrate content across channels, ensuring strategy connects with SEO/AEO, paid media, social, and email efforts, and supports and amplifies every channel in the client's marketing mix.
- Collaborate across teams to align content programs with broader marketing and business objectives, contributing ideas, sharing insights, and ensuring content initiatives support larger campaign goals.
- Leverage AI and emerging technologies thoughtfully to support content drafting, headline optimization, competitive analysis, topic research, and workflow efficiency.
